Painting Boot CampHere are some photos of when we did painting boot camp. I learned a lot of different brush strokes and how to mix colors. Including acrylic and watercolor. I learned to stretch and explore my artist skills, I thought I didn't like watercolor and there wasn't much you could do with it but it's actually fun. I also observed that you can use a lot of different brush strokes and it actually makes a difference.Landscape IdeasThis is the beginning stages of making my landscape artwork. I want to do something with pine trees and water color. Since I like traveling and woodsy areas, I was thinking of doing something with a road in the center of the trees. Like the road is traveling in them. When painting I need to make sure to add depth and make the back trees lighter and less visible and make the up close trees more detail, which can be hard with watercolor.

My artwork that I did for the object is a guitar. The background is different animal prints. The triangular things are guitar picks. To create my artwork I used colored pencils. I used almost every color. The reason I drew this artwork is to express that I like to play the guitar. The background is meant to show that there are many different styles of things. I just went with it and used different animal prints to show that you can like many different kinds of music and play different things too. A goal of this artwork was to learn how to blend colored pencil. At first I thought of just giving up the artwork because it wasn't turning out, I wasn't getting the colors right, and I couldn't blend them. Then I got feedback from my teacher and other peers. They told me how and what I could fix then it looked a lot better. Overall I am glad I chose to do this because it pushed me out of my comfort zone with the background and using colored pencil for the guitar. It showed me that even if you aren't sure how it will turn out, it doesn't hurt to try new things.
Dan Brugger-man incorperates his art with man made things and nature. I decided to draw skyscrapers in the background. In the middle of the page I made it seem like there is a big paint streak in the middle and there is a nature theme in it. I decided to make a sketch of this to show what man made things can do to nature. This part where the skyscrapers are used to be a field, or the forest. I think that it has been ruined, to build cities you have to tear down a lot of trees and animals homes.
