My favorite artwork was the identity artwork. I liked this one because it showed who I am and what makes me. It was also just my best artwork. I would like to redo my landscape artwork. I definently didn't try my best, and it was not meaningful at all. I learned that I can try my best at something, but it might not always turn out the way I want it to. I wish we could have painted together and collaged. It was kind of lonely doing it at home, and I didn't try my best or get to communicate with anyone.

My artwork is half of my face drawn, and the other half is drawings of things that I would say my identity is. I drew it with regular pencil, and added some color with colored pencil. This artwork is meant to show my identity with a drawing. I wanted to put things on there that made me, me. There is me, showing my kindness, love for the world and travel, Jesus, music, campfires, talking a lot. A goal for this artwork was to show what my identity is by drawing pictures. I think I achieved this goal and this artwork was successful. I showed the purpose of this artwork, and it was drawn well.
I decided to do a theme of self love and worth. I used magazines, old sunday school sheets, and my own paper and writing. A studio habit that I used was Envision. I would cut out the pictures knowing where they would go, I would envision the next step to my artwork. With collage this is a studio habit used quite often. Another studio habit is to reflect. I see what I have worked on and how I got there. I cut the pictures out that I thought would go well with the theme then layered them and glued. I added some of my own writings. This artwork expresses love for yourself and remembering that God made you you and to show that you are worthy because you were made from the Creator of the world! He chose to make you, and put YOU in the world!
My landscape is mountains that have different layers. the layers are all different colors so you can see the difference as well as darker or lighter. The clouds is where I started they are different shades of purple and blue. On the actual land I have small pine trees lining the bottom of the mountains. For my artwork I used watercolor, which was kinda difficult but I overcame those by persisting.

This picture is my inspiration with the clouds, I like how they were darker and showed a little bit of the sky. | This is where I'm at with my artwork. I have most of the artwork done, I am just going to add more detail to it, to bring out the front mountains. I am observing how to try and add detail and what colors to use. I also engaged and persisted because at first my painting was good, then really bad, now I am trying to make it better. |
My name is Marissa and I am in Art 2D this year. Something in the future I would love to do is travel the world.
